Powder in summertime? YES it's possible, we found it in Chile in the Araucania Region the northern part of Patagonia. Come discover the untamed nature of the Malalcahuello National Reserve and the ski resort named Corralco. With an annual snowfall of approximately 7 meters this part of Chile offers a fantastic mix of local culture and great terrain to ride. The Lonquimay Volcano (2.865m) is our objective for the week with trips in the surrounding area. Standing on the summit of the Lonquimay volcano where you can see the curvature of the earth will be one of many highlights of your trip. There are other volcanoes nearby for potential daytrips and lots of terrain with fairly easy access. It’s an endless playground around us. Most importantly this area has lots of options to ride in the trees on snowy/milky days. The perfect splitboarding place away from the crowds...
