COME RIDE WITH US
Norm Curzon, Canada
The Lofoten islands are like nowhere else on earth. A real splitboarders paradise where mother nature reminds you who's in charge. The granite snow covered mountains hide many nice scenic tours for us to explore.
The mountains in Lofoten have an altitude ranging from 700 to 1000m above sea level, the treeline is somewhere between 300 and 400m and many runs start from the road near sea level. This gives us easy access to the alpine terrain with lots of mellow runs, steeper descents and many couloirs to ride. There's terrain for every level of rider. Put this dream trip on your bucket list for sure.
Get ready to ride some good snow, mellow and steep terrain, maybe some couloirs and hopefully lots of powder!
In April we will enjoy both longer days and northern lights are still a possibility till mid April.
In the arctic regions it's all about connecting with nature, No lifts, No sleds, No helicopters just your own muscle power to take you up the mountains. Norway is great for touring: The mountains are big, but they are low down, so it´s easy to breathe. Much easier walking 1000 m vert here than at 2000-4000 m altitude in the alps….
